Yadkin Valley Sports was established in June 2010 by Lusk Media.

Our mission is simple: Be the best sports Web site in the Surry, Yadkin and Wilkes county region.

Eric Lusk

The founder and publisher of Yadkin Valley Sports is Eric Lusk, a veteran  journalist who has patrolled several hometown sports beats since the early 1990s. Eric has won statewide press awards in both North Carolina and Arizona for his work as a sports reporter, photographer and graphic designer. Western Newspapers, which operates several community and daily papers in Arizona and California, named Eric its Journalist of the Year in 2001.

Eric, his wife Pam and their two children currently live in Elkin and have been residents of the Yadkin Valley since 2006.
