Forbush hosting co-ed summer basketball camp

The 2012 Forbush Coed Basketball Camp will be held June 18-20 at the high school. Sessions for rising third- through fifth-graders will run from 8-11 a.m. Sessions for rising sixth- through ninth-graders will be from noon until 3 p.m.

North Surry youth hoops camp coming June 11-14

North Surry will hold its annual basketball camp June 11-14 for boys who are rising third- to ninth-graders. The camp consists of fundamental stations, skills contests and league games. East Wilkes holding annual youth hoops camp

The annual Cardinal Youth Basketball Camp will be held at East Wilkes High School on June 11-14. Sessions are open to boys in grades 3-8 (excludes rising high school freshmen) and will run from 8 a.m. until noon in the high school gym.

Starmount youth hoops camp coming in July

The fourth-annual Risings Stars Starmount Basketball Camp will be held July 18-21. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day at Starmount Middle School. Participants will receive daily instruction from coaches and players on fundamentals of the game.

Starmount youth softball camp coming March 3

Starmount High’s softball program will hold its annual youth softball camp on Saturday, March 3. The sessions will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Starmount softball field. The cost is $25 per player, with a pizza lunch included.

Mount Airy youth volleyball camp July 21-23

The Mount Airy High School summer volleyball youth camp will be held July 21-23. The camp will be held on the MAHS campus. This is the eighth year the camp has been held at Mount Airy for students in grades 6-9. Kim Lyons will be the director.

Champion Skills Camp coming to Gentry Middle

The first Champion Skills Camp will be held July 11-14 at Gentry Middle School. The four-day basketball camp will be split into two sessions. The cost of the camp is $55. Session 1 will run from 8 a.m. until noon. The first session will be for boys and girls ages 8-11. Session 2 will run from 12:30-4:30 p.m. The second session will be for boys only, ages 12-15.

Elkin youth soccer camp coming July 18-22

Elkin High School soccer coach Joe McCulloch will be holding a youth soccer camp July 18-22 at the Elkin Municipal Park. Registration is available at the Elkin Recreation Center. The camp is open to players ages 7-14. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The cost is $50.

Starmount holding youth football camps

Starmount will host youth football camps for players in grades K-6 and grades 7-8 during the final week of July. The cost is $10 per player.

10th annual East Wilkes youth football camp

East Wilkes’ annual youth football camp will celebrate its decade anniversary later this month. The 10th edition of the camp will take place July 25-26 for grades 3-6 and July 27-28 for grades 7-8. Sessions will run from 6-8:30 p.m. each night at the East Wilkes practice fields.

Wilkes Central hosting Goodson Skills Academy

Wilkes Central High School will host a session of the Goodson Basketball Skills Academy on July 25-27. The camp will be open to boys and girls in grades 3-12. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. The cost is $85 per player.

The Wilkes Central Lady Eagles 2011 Basketball Camp will be held June 13-15 at the high school gym. Sessions will run from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. The camp is open to all girls in grades K-9. The East Wilkes Summer Hoopin’ With the Lady Cardinals girls basketball camp will be held June 13-15 at the high school new gym. The camp is open to rising fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade girls. Sessions will run from 8 a.m. until noon each day.

East Wilkes holding boys hoops camp in June

The annual Cardinal Youth Basketball Camp will be held at East Wilkes High School on June 6-9. The camp is open to boys who will be in grades 3-8 in 2011-12. Sessions will run from 8 a.m. until noon each day. The cost is $50 for those who pre-register by June 1 or $60 for those who register at the door.
